How to clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max and EarPods

Learn how to clean your AirPods, AirPods Master, AirPods Max, and EarPods.

Is it OK to use sanitizer on my AirPods, AirPods Star, AirPods Max, or EarPods?

Using a wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol, 75% ethyl alcohol, or Clorox Sanitizing Wipes, you can gently wipe the outer surfaces of your AirPods, AirPods Star, AirPods Max, or EarPods. Try not to use the speaker cross section of your AirPods, AirPods Genius and EarPods. Try not to use on the mesh cover and ear cups of your AirPods Max. Try not to use items containing bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Try to keep moisture out of any openings, and don't put your AirPods, AirPods Ace, AirPods Max, or EarPods in any cleaning specialist.

Try not to run your AirPods Max submerged.

Use a soft, dry, clump-free material.

Provided your AirPods Max are exposed to anything that could cause staining or other damage - such as detergents, shampoos, conditioners, ointments, fragrances, solvents, detergents, acids or acidic food sources, insect repellent, sunscreen, oil or hair dye:

Clean them with a material that has been rinsed to the edge with new water and dry with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
Try to use them until they are completely dry.
Try not to get any liquid into the holes.
Try not to use sharp objects or mesh materials to clean AirPods Max.
Clean the pads and headband of your AirPods Max
In the perfect compartment, mix 1 tsp. (5 mL) of liquid laundry detergent to 1 cup (250 mL) of water.

Remove the pads from the earcups.

Whenever you clean the headband, keep the AirPods Max in the up position so that the liquid does not flow into the connection point of the headband.

Soak the non-pilling fabric in the sudsy water arrangement, wring it out at the edges, and gently rub the padding and headband material every 1 moment.

Clean the pads and headband with another cloth that has been slightly rinsed with new water.
Dry the pads and headband with a soft, dry, lint-free material, trying to eliminate excess moisture.
Lay your AirPods Max flat to dry for basically a day before you reattach the pads and use them again.

Clean the instance of your AirPods Max

Clean the Brilliant case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If necessary, you can rinse the fabric a little with isopropyl alcohol. Allow the Shrewd case to dry. Try not to use mesh materials to clean the Shrewd Case.

Clean your AirPods and AirPods Ace
Try not to run AirPods or AirPods Ace submerged.

Use a soft, dry, clump-free material.

Provided your AirPods or AirPods Ace are exposed to anything that could cause staining or other damage – such as cleaning products, shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, fragrances, solvents, detergents, acids or acidic food sources, insect repellent, sunscreen cream, oil or hair dye:

Clean them with a cloth slightly rinsed with new water and dry with a soft, dry, lint-free material.
Allow them to dry completely before placing them in the charging case.
Try to use them until they are completely dry.
Make sure that no liquid gets into the holes.
Clean the mouthpiece and speaker meshes with a dry q-tip.
Do not use sharp objects or mesh materials to clean AirPods or AirPods Expert.

Clean up your AirPods or AirPods Genius instance

Clean the indictment with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If necessary, you can marginally rinse the fabric with isopropyl liquid. Allow the charging case to dry. Make sure no liquid gets into the charging ports. Here are a few more rules:

Remove any debris from the Lightning connector with a clean, dry, soft bristled brush.
Try not to use mesh materials to clean the charging case.
To avoid damaging the metal contacts, do not insert anything into the charging ports.

Clean the ear tips of your AirPods Expert

In case water has accumulated in the ear tip, tap the AirPod on a soft, dry cloth without accumulation, with the ear tip opening facing down, to remove it.
Remove the ear tips from each AirPod and wash the ear tips with water. Try not to use detergents or other household cleaners.
Wipe the ear tips with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Make sure the ear tips are completely dry before reconnecting to each AirPod.
Snap the ear tips back onto each AirPod. The ear tips are oval shaped, so adjust them before clicking.

Your AirPods Ace (first and second era), AirPods (third era), MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods (third era), Lightning Charging Case for AirPods (third era) and MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods Master (second era) are sweat and safe for water, but not sweat or water resistant.

Your AirPods (first and second era), Lightning Charging Case for AirPods (first and second era), Remote Charging Case for AirPods (first and second era), AirPods Max, Brilliant Case, MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods Ace (first era), and the Remote Charging Case for AirPods Expert (first era) are not waterproof or waterproof, so be careful not to let moisture enter the openings. In the event that your AirPods interact with liquid, including sweat during exercise, wipe them with a dry microfiber material. To dry the case, place it on top with the cover open.

Clean your EarPods

Try not to start the EarPods submerged.
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
Try not to get any liquid into the holes.
Gently clean the receiver and speaker mesh with a dry q-tip. Use a perfect, dry, soft brush to remove any drifts and sprays from the grids.
Do not use sharp objects or harsh materials to clean the EarPods.
