The moment you think of a modular hybrid, the image of eco-conscious drivers cruising might gradually ring a bell. However, Ferrari's 2024 SF90 Stradale and Bug are hypercars, not hypermilers.
These vehicles feature a powerful 986-hp powertrain consisting of a twin-super V-8 engine and three electric motors, allowing them to accelerate up to 60 mph as fast as a Toyota Prius Prime driver can turn on the ignition seat belt. There is also another SF90 XX variant with significantly higher performance and top innovation for further developed lap times.
Inside, the SF90 boasts a sumptuous interior with fine cowhide leather, premium trim and an instinctive design of controls at the driver's fingertips. Sadly, with a base cost starting at 1,000,000 bucks, the SF90 resides in the domain of the wealthiest and most connected clientele, which is common for places where Ferraris are common.
What's happening for 2024?
For 2024, a significantly more notable SF90 XX variation is added to the setup. This belted model exudes 1016 power and comes with extra efficient upgrades and high-level electronic enhancements, giving it an edge over the standard variant and many other excellent vehicle designs. Unfortunately, only 799 SF90 Stradales and 599 SF90 Bug convertibles will be built, and each has been salvaged previously.
Engine, transmission and design
The SF90 highlights a powerful V-8 and three electric motors, with the V-8 delivering 769 horsepower and the electric motors contributing an additional 217 torque. The mix brings a total of 986 thrust and 590 pound-feet of force.
Upgrading to the SF90 XX increases the jack's capacity to 1016 hp and provides additional lift for increased speed. The vehicle has all-wheel drive, a first for a mid-engined Ferrari, and uses an eight-speed programmed transmission.
Ferrari's actual 0-60 mph time is 2.5 seconds for the SF90 and 2.3 seconds for the SF90 XX, however tests have shown the SF90 Stradale to reach 60 mph in 2.0 seconds, which set a record in our testing. Different driving modes cater to different driving inclinations, with options like EV Just, Cross Bremeno, Execution and Fit the bill to unleash the ultimate performance.
Mileage and certified MPG
According to EPA ratings, the SF90 Stradale roadster is expected to achieve 18 mpg in consolidated eco-friendliness when running solely on fuel. When working related to its electric motors, it can reach up to 51 MPGe.
